100+ Reading Challenge October update

As of yesterday, 31st October 2011, I have finished reading 55 books. I've just past the halfway mark and have no idea how I'm going to read 45 books in two months. However, there are a lot of long journeys on the London Underground and buses, and I'm also making more use of my e-reader, which hopefully means that I'll be reading a lot more. Check out what I've been reading here =)

Anyone have any recommendations? I have a list of books to get through and could definitely read some more =)

100+ Reading Challenge September Update

As of the 30th September 2011 (last Friday) I have finished reading 47 books. Find out what I've been reading here. The CHERUB books are actually for young teens, but I started reading the series a good few years ago, and now that the original series is complete I thought I'd finish reading them all. Brings back memories of sitting in the Secondary school library at lunchtime, trying to read as much as possible while sneakily eating away without getting caught. How time has changed! Now I'm trying to fit in small amounts of reading time, between blocks of uni, coursework and final year project, as well as daily life =)

Does anyone have a book recommendations? I'd love to hear what you're reading at the moment.

100+ Reading Challenge Summer Update

Ooops! I haven't updated my reading list in a while, so I thought I'd do a combined one for July and August. As of today (03/09/2011) I have read 41 books for the 100+ Reading Challenge. Only 59 more books to go (and 4 months until the end of the challenge! Check out what I've read here.

100+ Reading Challenge June Update

As of today (30/6/2011) I have read 28 books. Now that Uni is finaly over, I can start reading plenty more books (after I finish writing my proposal for my final year project) but hopefully there will a long(er) list of books at the end of July. 100+ Reading Challenge May Update

As of yesterday (31/05/2011) I have finished reading 23 books, which (if you do the maths) is quite bad. I've read less than a quarter of the books and we're already half way through the year. It is exam time at the moment, but hopefully I should be able to read some (77!) after they're over. Check out what I've read here.

In other news, my laptop was infected by a virus so the hard-drive was wiped clean and now I have to figure out how to use the updated version of Windows (which is a pain and doesn't look very nice). Hopefully everyone is enjoying the sunshine (in the UK) and looking forward to the summer! I know I am =)

100+ Reading Challenge April Update

As of today (30/04/2011) I have read 19 books for the 100+ reading challenge. It's still going slowly, simply because of the never ending coursework and revision (or the lack of it) for exams that will take place in May. Also, I'm currently a temporary employee for the Census 2011 (google it!), which is taking up a lot of my free time. I'm still hoping to read way more books after the exams and during the summer! 100+ Reading Challenge March Update

As of today (31/03/2011) I have read 13 books for the 100+ reading challenge. It's going a bit slowly, due to the amount of coursework and other random stuff that's going on, so I don't have a lot of time/motivation for reading books. By the way, I've given up on reviews. Alongside the ridiculous coursework deadlines (all one after the other), keeping up with the lectures and reading papers (journal articles are not easy to understand), it's getting to the point where can't fit in time to write a full review...Sorry! Hopefully, I'll manage to review a few during the summer (long holidays!) but until then I'll just be listing what I've read =)

Unfortunately, I don't have a book review for this month (I blame the exams!), but I will (try to) review two books in February. Hopefully, I won't leave both reviews until the end of the month (but I am a procrastinator at heart) =)

100+ Reading Challenge 2011

Okay, so this is my first (ever) challenge that I'm taking part in and it's the 100+ reading challenge 2011, hosted by My Over Stuffed Bookshelf. I read (and re read) quite a lot of books, so it'll be interesting to see how many I actually do read in exactly one year. There will be a page/tab/link (above the random buttons) called 2011: Bookshelf, where I will list all the books I have read each month. I'm not much of a reviewer, so I'm going to challenge myself to write a review each month.
