Project 10 Pan: Take II #10

The final product to be featured in P10P:II is the L'occitane Dry Skin Shea Butter Hand Cream. I love L'occitane hand creams, as I find that they are very moisturising but don't leave a greasy residue on the skin. This is the second tube of hand cream to have been finished during P10P, and I recently purchased one of there hand lotions, which is packaged in the same way but has a lighter texture (perfect for the warmer weather). I think I may need to invest in the larger size (150ml) as it works out as better value for money, although that means that it's not as easy to carry around.

Project 10 Pan: Take II #9

Yay! Only one more product needs to be used up before P10P:II is over (not that I haven't bought anything at all). The next product to have been used up is the FCUK Pure Body Spray. I purchased this from Boots Clearance (and have quite a few back-ups too!). I prefer body sprays/body mists over perfumes as they aren't as strong and I can spray them quite a few times without it being overpowering. I especially love using these to freshen up during the day, and the small size and plastic packaging makes it easy to carry around, without the fear of it breaking or leaking into my bag.

Project 10 Pan:Take II #8

Finally nearing the end of P10P:II and so far it's been going well (minus the buying products when I'm not supposed to!). The 8th product to have been used up is the E.L.F Studio Makeup Mist & Set spray, which is basically a setting spray that is sprayed (duh!) after you've applied your makeup. This product was a freebie which was part of an offer from E.L.F many months ago. The scent is not very appealing but fades quickly. At first, I was doubtful of whether it actually set my makeup and made it last longer, because I rarely keep my makeup on for more that 5-6 hours. However, I used this to set my makeup yesterday for my graduation ceremony, and I have to say that my makeup lasted pretty much all day (from around 10am to 8pm) with minimal touch ups despite the extremely hot weather! I picked up another one during the recent E.L.F 50% off offer as this is one product that is great for making your makeup last just that bit longer and for the mere price of £3.75, it's a bargain. Apparently this can also be used as a makeup refresher, but I have yet to try it to see if it 'refreshes' my makeup. =)

it's been used so much that the writing has rubbed off!

June Beauty Products Haul

With P10P currently going on, I seem to be finishing (or nearing the end of) quite a few of the products I would consider essentials. The two main ones being the Lush Ultrabalm and Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I repurchased both of these over the past couple of weeks and also treated myself to a very belated post exam (and ready to graduate) present. The present being the Illamasqua cream blusher in the shade Betray. This is my first cream blusher, and Illamasqua was the brand recommended to me (and the shade was chosen by their very helpful staff at the store in Beak Street). Swatches of the blusher are to come in another blog post =)

Whilst in John Lewis, I got colour matched for the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation and recieved a 7 day sample to try out (in the shade B70, if anyone is wondering). I also got colour matched for the Nars Sheer Glow foundation (matched to Syracuse). The only question is which one do I go for? Or should I purchase something else, seeing as I'm quite happy with the foundations that I am currently using. The YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks seem to have caught my eye too, the shades 3 (Ultimate Beige) and 23 (Luscious Pink) in particular =)

Project 10 Pan: Take II #8

Whoops! I haven't been blogging as regularly as I used to. Mostly because I've started another work placement which takes up most of my week (no more post-exam hibernation at home). Also, I've nearly reached the end of P10P Take II *yay* although the no buying products during P10P has gone out of the window (don't worry, it's only essentials and one tiny treat to myself).

In other news, I have over 100 followers on GFC! Hello everyone! I'll be posting a giveaway soon so keep a lookout for that blog post, and in the meantime see what product #8 is on P10P below =)


The Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish is the 8th product to have been finished. I only use C+P when I have a full face of makeup (mostly for special occasions, events, evenings out etc.) so I don't use it very often. which is why it has lasted since September! I will definitely be repurchasing this the next time I am in John Lewis, as it removes all of my makeup without irritating my skin and gently exfoliates at the same time. Project 10 Pan:Take II #7

The seventh product to have been used up is the Lush Ultrabalm. To see my review on this product click here. It's a savior for my dry and sensitive skin, without a super strong smell (although some people don't like it). I use this mostly on patches of eczema on my face, as well for other areas of dry skin (especially on the legs and feet). If you're looking to try this out, ask the staff at Lush for a sample when you next go in store =)

I have already repurchased this (rather than let my eczema flare up again!)

Project 10 Pan: Take II #5 and #6

Finally I have finished using not one but two of my (many) lipbalms! The fifth product to have been used up is the Nivea Hydro Care lipbalm, which is pretty much your standard lipbalm packaged in a handy twist up tube. I like that it has that classic Nivea smell, nothing too strong or complicated. The lip balm itself is moisturising, but not overly so making it great for those days when your lips are dry (but not in need of extreme moisturising). I think I have another one of these lying around somewhere (which hasn't been used yet), so I'm not sad to see this one end.

The sixth product to have been used up is my trusted Classic Carmex tub, which is my saviour when I'm suffering with extremely dry, chapped lips. I'm not too keen on the tub packaging, so will be repurchasing in the tube, either the cherry or strawberry version. I also want to try out the Carmex Moisture Plus lip balms, although that will probably be after I've finished a few more lipbalms.

Hopefully I'll be using up more of my lipbalms soon, so I can also finally open the new (or not so new) EOS lip balm spheres that have been gathering dust for quite a few months now! =)

Project 10 Pan: Take II #4

The fourth product to have been used up is The Body Shop Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash. This is one product that I used quite a lot in the past, but after having not used it in ages, I don't think it works for me as well anymore. Mostly because my skin has become drier over the past few weeks and patches of eczema have started to flare up again. The exfoliating wash is mild enough to use at least once every two days, however it doesn't contain enough crushed apricot stones for it to be as exfoliating as I want it to be. It has a creamy consistency and isn't too thick (which is why it's called a wash rather than a mask or a scrub). The tea tree is scent is particularly strong, which I do like as it's really refreshing (especially when used in the morning).

Anyone else tried the tea tree blackhead exfoliating wash? What did you think?

Project 10 Pan: Take II #3

The third product to have been used up is the Lush Love Lettuce fresh face mask. This is a great face mask, although much more suited to oily/combination skin rather than my dry/sensitive skin. Made of fresh natural ingredients means that the mask has a use by date, although there was no adverse reaction when I used it a whole month after that date (just used the last bit up yesterday!). Priced at £5.75 the mask is really good value for money, considering that my sister and I got at least 10-12 masks in total. You can check out my full review on the mask here.

Now I just need four more empty pots for a free fresh face mask!

Project 10 Pan: Take II #2

The second product to have been finished is the Kyphi body butter from The Sanctuary. I purchased this ages ago at Boots Clearance, but made a more conscious effort to use it up this past few weeks. I'm actually quite sad that this is finished because it smells wonderful,  and leaves a lingering perfume scent on my skin (for a while). Moisturising enough for dry skin (I used this on my arms mostly) and a smooth non greasy texture meant it was easily absorbed into the skin. I'm not sure if it's sold anymore but I would have assumed that it was sold as part of a set. The current set of three being sold is the Sanctuary Ultimate Moisture Trio.

Tried any other Sanctuary products? What did you think?

Project 10 Pan: Take II #1

So I'm starting project 10 pan again and hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll actually stick to not buying anything (until I'm at least half way through!).

First product to have been used up is the Softlips French Vanilla lipbalm. I'm currently on a mission to use up some of my lipbalms as I have way too many (see my lipbalm collection here) and this is the first to have been finished. I actually quite liked this lipbalm as it moisturised my lips, making them soft and smooth. I liked that the vanilla scent was not overpowering. Also love the compact tube packaging which makes it perfect to fit into the smallest bag possible (or a pocket), and the fact that it is pink! I may repurchase once P10P is over but that depends on how many lipbalms I have managed to use up.

Project 10 pan #10

This is the final post of P10P although I will continue to post about products that have been used up (maybe a collective post every few weeks). The product to have been used up this time is the L'Ocittane Desert Rose Shea hand cream (30ml) which I got as a magazine freebie, but I can tell you that I would most definitely pay full price (£7.50) for it.

The hand cream is not too thick, but does moisturise very well and I love the smell which is more of a fresh rose smell, rather than a vintage(?) rose smell (no idea if you understand what I mean). It's not greasy at all and is absorbed by the skin quite quickly. I tend to massage the hand cream into my hands, focusing paticularly on the cuticles and fingertips as this is where the skin is really dry. I love the paint tube style packaging, although I had the initial fear that it would burst in my bag. After being squashed between textbooks and buried at the bottom of my uni bag, I can definitely say that it hasn't split down the side!

I also have the Original Shea Butter hand cream, which is just as good as this one (only it has a different smell) but I would definitely be repurchasing after this one has been used up, maybe trying out a different scent.

Project 10 Pan #9

Nearly at the end of P10P although I will continue to blog about products that have been used up and write my thoughts on them. The product to have been (almost) used up this time is the Lush Sweet Lips lip scrub, which is basically a tub of vanilla-chocolate flavoured sugar that is used to exfoliate your lips to remove dry/dead skin.

I'm trying to make this last just a little bit longer! Although it's practically empty =)

I love using this product as it does make my lips feel smoother and you honestly only need to use a tiny amount, so the tub lasts quite long. Seeing as I purchased this in June (this blogpost) this lip scrub has lasted me 6/7 months, which I think is pretty good. Also, as it's a natural product, I can just lick the sugar off (tastes good!). I will be purchasing another Lush lip scrub, although I want to try either the Bubblegum or the Mint Julips (which my sister currently uses). I know that lip scrubs are pretty easy to make at home, but I honestly prefer buying them (just because it's more convenient for me).

Have you tried a Lush lip scrub? Which one would you recommend?

Project 10 Pan #8

Okay, P10P is kinda failing at the moment seeing as I'm still purchasing makeup/skincare when I shouldn't be (I blame the sales!), but I'm still going to blog about products which have finished/hit pan. Hopefully, after P10P is over, I'll make a collective post about products that have been finished (not too sure how often though).

Anyway, the 8th products to have been used up is the Vaseline Lip Therapy Tin (Original). I don't reach for Vaseline as I have so many other lip balms that I prefer using, so I was really suprised when I found myself scraping the last bit of product out. (Maybe it's because it was the only lipbalm that I kept downstairs!). Time to place another lipbalm downstairs so it can be used up =)

Only two more product's until P10P is over (although it's failed)!

Project 10 Pan #7

The next product which has been used up is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Face Scrub (what a mouthful!). I can't take full credit for using this up by myself, as my sister and I both use it. We also have the Skin Energising Daily Face Scrub, as they were on offer in Superdrug when we bought them, but this one seems to have been more popular as it finished first!

This is actually a really good exfoliator for everyday use, as it does contain exfoliating beads (duh!) yet it's not harsh and abrasive on the skin. The scent is quite citrus-y and it smells refreshing, which is great for waking you up in the morning. I like to use this every other day (if I can remember to do so), but I definitely use it at least once a week, sometimes alternating with the skin energising daily face scrub. Will probably repurchase once the other one has been used up =)

Project 10 Pan #3, #4 & #5

I'm glad I started P10P, because now I can record which products I'm finishing and try and use up products which I'm not too keen on! These three products have been finished for quite some time, but I just haven't been able to find the time to blog about them.

First, we have The Body Shop Hemp moisture high balm. I used this for my eczema when it was particularly dry and flaky. The texture is similar to Vaseline, and it can get quite greasy so I would only recommend this if you have extremely dry skin. I'm not going to be repurchasing as I'm hoping to try out a different product which may work better at reducing/calming the eczema.

The next product on this post is the Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream (75ml tube). This is a great body moisturiser and I've been using it on both arms and legs. I've always loved the smell of Nivea products, but didn't like the texture of the Nivea Creme (the one in a blue tub). This one has a light texture but still moisturises pretty well, and the tube was the perfect size to fit into my uni bag!

Final product which is finished is the No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion Exfoliator. This is an exfoliator which I have had for ages (bought from Boots clearance) and it leaves my face smooth and feeling clean. I definitely didn't get as many spots when using this product on a regular basis. However if I wasn't light handed when exfoliating, I would end up with a red face (because it can be quite harsh and irritate the skin). I used minimal amounts of the product once or twice a month to avoid over-exfoliating. Not sure if I'll be repurchasing as I'm on the look out for an exfoliator which is not as harsh on the skin. Definately would not recommend for sensitive skin! This is an alternative method to having a microdermabrasion facial rather than going to a salon.



Halfway through P10P already! Let's see what products I manage to finish next =)

Project 10 Pan #1 & #2

I have started Project 10 Pan and the first two products to have finished/hit pan are the Boots Pharmaceuticals Intensive Foot Softener (which I also cut open and finished using) and the Natural Collection Rosey Glow blush.

I love the foot softener (I had the 75ml tube), and will definately repurchase at the end of P10P, but there are a few other lotions that I want to use up before then. I've had this blush for quite some time (the first I ever bought!) and although I'm sad to see it finishing, I have another Natural Collection blush waiting to be used (in the shade Dusky Pink) =]

Funnily enough, both these products were bought from the Boots Clearance store in Beckton =)

Project 10 Pan

In an attempt to use up makeup and skincare products that I already own, I am starting a project 10 pan. I'll be documenting my progress on the blog, and i'm hoping it'll be successful. It's a way to stop me from buying more skincare and makeup products and use up what I already have. (and then treat myself after using up 10 products).

Anyone attempting Project 10 pan? or something similar?
